Natural Gas Co-op 52 Ltd is a member owned, member controlled, locally operated and not for profit natural gas distribution system located in East Central Alberta. Our customers consist of rural, agricultural, commercial and industrial users.
We are a proud member of the Federation of Alberta Gas Co-ops, consisting of 81 other rural gas utilities. Together we lobby government, train employees, provide insurance for our distribution systems and set standards for the operations and maintenance of the utilities to ensure safety for our employees and our customers. Together we make up the largest rural gas distribution system of its kind in the world.

Carbon Levy REMOVAL
Effective April 1, 2025
This charge will be removed
On March 15, 2025, the Government of Canada announced that it will be removing the Federal Fuel Charge.
Your Natural Gas Utility will no longer be required to report on or pay the charge for all types of fuel, including marketable natural gas, consumed after March 31, 2025.

CALL FOR DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS
The Gas Co-op is seeking nominations for directors to be elected at the Annual General Meeting in Provost on Tuesday July 15, 2025. Nominations are requested for the following zones:
Zone 1 – from TWP 42 to TWP 44 inclusive ranges 1, 2, 3
-one position (2025-2028)
Zone 2 - from TWP 36 to TWP 42 inclusive ranges 1 to 5
-one position (2025-2028)
Zone 3 - from TWP 37 to TWP 43 inclusive ranges 6 to 10
-one position (2025-2028)
Deadline for nominations - 12:00 noon, May 15, 2025

Candidates for election must be individual members in good standing and their nomination must be supported by another member in good standing.Â

If you have an emergency, and you require immediate assistance, please call (780) 753-2777 and dial 1 to connect with our emergency call centre.
If your call is between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, your call will be answered at our main office. Calls after 5:00 PM are forwarded to the call centre, and they will connect you with the Utility Operator on call.
